Job Description
We're looking for an accomplished and effective leader to serve as our Head of Global Business Development. This is a critical role where you'll shape and manage our global efforts to get new advertisers, with a primary focus on driving gross profit growth and leading a high-performing sales team. You will lead and mentor a team of business development managers, aiming for major revenue growth by building new partnerships with advertisers and agencies across domestic and international markets.
This position is for a strategic professional who excels at building and leading teams, expanding our global presence, and setting the go-to-market strategy for our performance marketing solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Strategy and Leadership:
Lead and shape our global business development strategy. You will identify and prioritize high-potential advertiser groups and new markets, setting clear goals for your team. - Team Performance Management:
You will hire, lead, and mentor a top-tier team of business development managers. Your main responsibility is to drive team performance to meet and exceed ambitious financial goals and to encourage a culture where the team can grow and do their best work. - Gross Profit Ownership:
You will be fully responsible for the global advertiser acquisition. This includes achieving specific gross profit goals for yourself as an individual, as well as for the entire team. - Business Development for Profit:
- Focus on Key Accounts:
Your team will prioritize getting clients who offer the most commercial value taking into account length of campaign and size of marketing budget. - Expand into New Areas:
You will find and enter new, high-margin markets and business areas to make sure our revenue streams are diverse. - Grow Client Value:
You will create and put in place strategies to increase the long-term value of our clients through up-selling and optimizing their performance. - Smart Acquisition:
You will analyze and improve how we acquire advertisers to make sure we get a strong return on our investment. - Data-Driven Choices:
You will champion using data to find new opportunities and make quick decisions that boost gross profit. - Operational Excellence:
You will create and improve our sales processes. You'll also ensure the team keeps a close eye on the sales pipeline using
HubSpot
to provide clear indications of performance. - Building Strong Relationships:
You will build and keep strong relationships with key decision-makers at our potential clients and leading advertising agencies worldwide. You will be the senior point of contact for our most valuable partnerships. - Global Market Expansion:
You will guide your team in finding a target list of potential advertisers in global markets. This requires knowing how to do business in different parts of the world. - Value Proposition:
You will help create sales presentations and materials that clearly explain what makes us unique. Your goal is to position the company as a leader in global performance and affiliate marketing.
Qualifications & Experience
- Proven Leadership:
Experience in affiliate or performance marketing business development, with experience in a leadership role managing and growing a team. - Global Know-How:
A proven track record of successfully getting new advertisers and expanding in different domestic and international markets. - Industry Expertise:
A strong understanding of affiliate marketing models (like CPA, CPL, CPC), online advertising, and the latest industry trends. - Strategic Mindset:
Great at analyzing data, spotting market trends, and making smart, data-driven decisions that help your team succeed. Experience of CRM systems such as HubSpot. - Sales & Negotiation Skills:
Proven experience in creating strategic sales plans and overseeing high-value deals from start to finish. - Strong Network:
An extensive and established network with leading advertisers and agencies globally. You should have a history of successful business development in key sectors like Finance, Travel, Fashion, Beauty, Retail, E-commerce, and Food. - Communication Skills:
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to inspire a team and build trust with senior clients. - Results-Oriented:
A strong work ethic and an unwavering focus on hitting ambitious revenue and client goals, including specific gross profit targets for both you and your team.
Location
- Residence in a major Indian metropolitan city is required. This is a global role that requires you to be flexible and travel domestically and internationally for key client meetings and industry events. We prefer a candidate who understands different international business cultures.
