Location: Mumbai

Work mode: *Contract (6 Months)/On-Site*

Experience: 3-6 years

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide
    Level 2 (L2) support
    for enterprise LAN, WAN, WLAN, and firewall infrastructure.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve escalated incidents, network outages, and performance issues within defined SLAs.
  • Configure, manage, and maintain routers, switches, firewalls, and load balancers across multi-vendor environments (Cisco, Juniper, Fortinet, Palo Alto, etc.).
  • Work with ISPs and vendors for link provisioning, escalations, and root cause analysis.
  • Perform routine health checks, capacity planning, and proactive monitoring using NMS tools (SolarWinds, Nagios, Zabbix, etc.).
  • Support network change management activities: configuration changes, upgrades, and migrations.
  • Document network issues, root cause analysis, and maintain updated configuration & topology diagrams.
  • Assist in implementing network security policies, VLANs, ACLs, and VPN setups.
  • Collaborate with L1 engineers and guide them in initial troubleshooting.
  • Participate in on-call rotation for 24x7 support (as required).

Required Skills & Experience

  • 3–6 years of hands-on experience as a Network Engineer in enterprise or managed service environments.
  • Strong knowledge of
    TCP/IP, Routing protocols (OSPF, BGP, EIGRP), Switching (VLANs, STP, VTP)
    .
  • Experience with firewalls (Cisco ASA, Palo Alto, Fortinet, or equivalent).
  • Exposure to load balancers, proxy servers, and VPN technologies.
  • Proficiency in network monitoring & troubleshooting tools (Wireshark, SNMP, etc.).
  • Experience in ITIL process: Incident, Problem & Change management.
  • Good communication skills and ability to interact with clients/vendors.
  • Cisco CCNA/CCNP (or equivalent certifications) preferred.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with cloud networking (AWS, Azure, GCP).
  • Scripting knowledge (Python, Ansible, Shell) for network automation.
  • Familiarity with SD-WAN, NAC, and ACI solutions.
