Responsibilities

  • Assist in the preparation and cooking of Indian dishes, particularly those made using Tandoori techniques.
  • Maintain the highest standards of food hygiene and kitchen sanitation.
  • Follow recipes and instructions from senior kitchen staff.
  • Prepare ingredients and handle kitchen equipment effectively.
  • Monitor and manage stock levels of kitchen supplies.
  • Ensure timely preparation and presentation of dishes.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth kitchen operations.
  • Assist in maintaining cleanliness and orderliness of the kitchen area.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Formal culinary training or apprenticeship preferred.
  • Previous experience in an Indian kitchen setting.
  • Knowledge of various Indian spices and cooking techniques, especially Tandoor.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to food safety.
  • Effective communication and teamwork skills.
