Responsibilities
- Assist in the preparation and cooking of Indian dishes, particularly those made using Tandoori techniques.
- Maintain the highest standards of food hygiene and kitchen sanitation.
- Follow recipes and instructions from senior kitchen staff.
- Prepare ingredients and handle kitchen equipment effectively.
- Monitor and manage stock levels of kitchen supplies.
- Ensure timely preparation and presentation of dishes.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth kitchen operations.
- Assist in maintaining cleanliness and orderliness of the kitchen area.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Formal culinary training or apprenticeship preferred.
- Previous experience in an Indian kitchen setting.
- Knowledge of various Indian spices and cooking techniques, especially Tandoor.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to food safety.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills.
