Role Overview:

We are looking for an experienced Legal and Valuation Officer to join our Credit Team for Project Finance loan processing. The role involves managing the legal, technical, and valuation aspects of credit proposals to ensure sound lending decisions and compliance with internal and regulatory norms.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review and verify legal documents related to property, title deeds, and borrower assets.
  • Coordinate with legal advisors and valuers to obtain and assess due diligence and valuation reports.
  • Evaluate collateral securities, ensuring clear ownership and enforceability.
  • Support the credit team in loan documentation, mortgage creation, and other legal formalities.
  • Maintain records of valuation reports, legal opinions, and related documentation.
  • Ensure compliance with internal credit policies and regulatory standards.

  • Assist in credit appraisal and risk assessment for project finance cases.

  • Minimum 5 to 10 years of experience in loan processing, legal verification, or valuation within Nationalized Banks, Private Banks, or NBFCs.

  • Strong understanding of project finance, collateral evaluation, and lending documentation.
  • Excellent coordination, analytical, and reporting skills.
