Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role located in Bengaluru for a Sous Chef specializing in Western / Continental cuisine. The Sous Chef will be responsible for assisting the Head Chef in daily kitchen operations, preparing and presenting high-quality dishes, ensuring cleanliness and hygiene standards are maintained, managing kitchen staff, and collaborating on menu planning. The role also involves overseeing food storage, inventory control, and maintaining food safety standards.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in Western or Continental cuisine preparation and presentation
  • Strong managerial skills for overseeing kitchen staff and operations
  • Knowledge of cleanliness, hygiene, and food safety standards
  • Creativity in menu planning and development
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills
  • Ability to work in a high-pressure, fast-paced environment
  • Culinary degree or equivalent professional experience
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Previous experience in a similar role within a hotel environment is a plus
