We are seeking a dynamic Business Development Manager to drive growth by building partnerships, expanding market reach, and scaling Torchit's impact.

Role Overview

The BDM will identify and develop new opportunities with corporates, CSR arms, government bodies, NGOs, and international organizations. The role requires a mix of strategic thinking, relationship-building, and execution to grow sales, partnerships, and projects.

Key Responsibilities

Partnership Development

  • Identify, approach, and build relationships with corporates, PSUs, CSR foundations, NGOs, and government agencies.
  • Develop proposals, MoUs, and partnership models aligned with Torchit's mission.
  • Represent Torchit at national and international forums, exhibitions, and events.

Sales & Revenue Growth

  • Achieve sales targets for assistive solutions across B2B, B2G, and CSR markets.
  • Pitch and close deals with CSR heads, procurement teams, and institutional buyers.
  • Manage accounts, ensure client satisfaction, and drive repeat business.

Strategy & Market Expansion

  • Research new markets (India & global) for distribution and sales.
  • Build channel partnerships and reseller/distributor networks.
  • Collaborate with marketing to design impactful campaigns for fundraising and product launches.

Project & Relationship Management

  • Track CSR projects, government schemes, and grants relevant to assistive technology.
  • Coordinate implementation of projects with internal teams (operations, logistics, impact team).
  • Maintain strong, long-term client relationships.

Reporting & Analytics

  • Maintain a sales pipeline, prepare monthly BD reports, and present progress to leadership.
  • Analyze trends to refine strategy.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's/Master's degree in Business, Marketing, or related field.
  • 3–6 years of experience in Business Development, preferably in CSR, social enterprise, or tech-driven NGO/startup.
  • Proven track record of achieving sales/partnership targets.
  • Strong network with corporates, CSR teams, NGOs, and government agencies (preferred).
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to travel extensively across India (and abroad if required).
  • Passion for social impact and disability inclusion.
