Senior Manager - Safety

Reports to ED and Corporate Safety

Title

Responsible for Sustainability, Health Safety and Environment systems

General Working Time: Monday Saturday GENERAL DESCRIPTION

Assist & advice concerned departments in organizing necessary measures for avoidance of personal injury and environmental incidences.

Reporting and Investigate accidents and provide possible solutions for preventative & corrective actions.

Address and discuss safety related suggestions / grievances. Initiate solutions.

Up keeping, maintenance, testing & periodic Inspection of First aid firefighting equipment & fire hydrant

Arrange & impart EHS related training to company employees & contract employees as per requirements. Promote Toolbox talks & conducting periodical Safety Audit.

Conducting Safety Audits & Risk Assessment of the processes and equipments. Derive the action plan on risk mitigation and follow-up for implementation.

Registration of unsafe acts and conditions and implementation of actions for elimination.

Organizing & conducting Safety committee meetings, Safety Observation Tours.

Designing the ERP (Emergency response procedures) and to conduct the mock drills to ensure effectiveness.

Timely reporting of HSE data in data base.

Implementation and Monitoring of Safety system for ensuring safe work environment in plant. Ensuring the permit to work system and contractual safety procedure.

Bring out to the notice of Senior Management about deviations / non compliances etc.

Planning and execution of HSE promotional activities and to ensure the employee participation.

Deriving the sustainability programs on environment protection.

Ensure Compliance of Factories Act & Factories Rules, MPPCB and other statutory requirements. Independent dealing with statutory agencies.

Timely attending customer requirements and ensuring the compliance.
