Business Development Executive (Proposal Specialist)
Overview
We are seeking an ambitious and results-driven Business Development Executive with a proven track record not just in generating leads and building relationships, but in the critical skill of writing compelling, conversion-focused proposals. This role is ideal for a sales professional who excels at understanding client needs and translating complex services/products into clear, persuasive, and winning written solutions.
You qualify salary if complete target of 10 client conversions per month and target of ₹3,00,000 sales per month. Commission: 1-5% of Quarterly profits if convert more than 10 clients.
Key Responsibilities
1. Proposal Development & Conversion
- Lead the end-to-end proposal writing process, from initial scoping and drafting to final submission and presentation.
- Analyze RFPs/client requirements meticulously to ensure the proposed solution is perfectly aligned with the client's goals, budget, and pain points.
- Craft highly persuasive proposals, presentations, and sales documents that clearly articulate our value proposition, competitive advantages, and return on investment (ROI).
- Collaborate with subject matter experts (e.g., technical, finance, operations teams) to gather accurate content and ensure proposed solutions are feasible.
- Maintain a repository of standard proposal content, case studies, and templates, continuously updating them for maximum effectiveness.
- Track proposal metrics (submission rates, win rates, time-to-close) and implement continuous improvements based on performance data.
2. Business Development & Sales
- Identify, qualify, and pursue new business opportunities and strategic partnerships within target markets.
- Build and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with prospective clients, acting as a trusted advisor.
- Conduct insightful market research to understand industry trends, competitor offerings, and potential client challenges.
- Present solutions and proposals to potential clients, effectively communicating the benefits and answering all queries.
- Negotiate contract terms and pricing to close deals and achieve quarterly/annual sales targets.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Master's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in Business Development, Sales, or a related client-facing role.
- Demonstrated experience and portfolio of proposals that have successfully led to client conversion. (The ability to share past performance metrics is highly desirable.)
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills—the ability to articulate complex ideas simply and persuasively is non-negotiable.
- Strong understanding of sales processes, contract negotiations, and financial analysis (e.g., calculating ROI, pricing models).
- Proficiency with CRM software (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot) and Microsoft Office Suite (especially Word and PowerPoint).
- Self-motivated, highly organized, and able to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
- Experience in the SaaS, IT Services, Consulting, Manufacturing sector is a significant plus.
