The Role: Director – Sales (BFSI)

We are seeking an accomplished sales leader with strong BFSI expertise to drive enterprise growth across banking, insurance, lending, and financial services. The ideal candidate brings deep understanding of financial workflows, compliance structures, and digital transformation use cases within BFSI.

You will lead the end-to-end sales motion, own revenue outcomes, influence the GTM strategy, and build trusted C-suite relationships with large financial institutions. This role demands strong leadership, commercial acumen, and the ability to deliver value-centric narratives tailored to BFSI decision makers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Define and execute the enterprise sales strategy for BFSI, aligned with clear revenue and growth goals.
  • Build, lead, and mentor a high-performing enterprise sales team.
  • Drive rigorous pipeline creation, governance, and forecasting discipline.
  • Lead CXO-level engagements, discovery sessions, and ROI-driven solution presentations tailored to BFSI processes.
  • Negotiate and close complex enterprise deals involving multi-stakeholder decision cycles.
  • Collaborate with Pre-Sales, Product, Insights, and Customer Success teams to ensure successful implementations and long-term account scalability.
  • Stay ahead of BFSI industry trends, regulatory changes, competitive offerings, and digital transformation priorities.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of enterprise software sales experience, with strong exposure to BFSI clients (banks, insurers, NBFCs, fintechs).
  • Proven record of closing large, complex enterprise deals and managing executive relationships.
  • Experience in building, scaling, and coaching high-performance sales teams.
  • Strong understanding of BFSI workflows—sales, onboarding, loan origination, compliance, KYC, customer lifecycle management, or related processes.
  • Outstanding communication, negotiation skills, and executive presence.
  • High ownership, resilience, and ability to perform in a fast-paced growth environment.
  • Bachelor's degree required; MBA preferred.
