Job Description:

  • Lead negotiations with shipping lines for competitive freight rates and container slot allocations
  • Develop and maintain strategic relationships with shipping carriers
  • Analyze market trends and shipping rates to optimize procurement strategies
  • Prepare and submit competitive price offers to potential exporters
  • Manage slot allocation contracts and ensure optimal utilization
  • Conduct market research to identify cost-effective shipping solutions
  • Develop pricing strategies that balance customer needs with company profitability
  • Coordinate with sales and operations teams to align procurement activities
  • Monitor and report on shipping market conditions and rate fluctuations
  • Negotiate volume-based discounts and long-term agreements with shipping lines
  • Manage Ocean freight invoices corrections as per agreed rates.
