About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and results-driven
Senior Sales Manager
to lead the sales and business development activities for our
Agro Commodity & Rice Division
. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in FMCG or agro-based exports, with proven expertise in developing international markets and managing large-scale B2B and B2C operations.

Responsibilities

Sales & Business Growth

  • Drive domestic and international sales for rice and agro commodities (basmati, non-basmati, pulses, sugar, spices, etc.).
  • Develop new business opportunities across
    India, the Middle East, Africa, and Asia
    .
  • Achieve sales targets through both direct and channel sales.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with importers, distributors, wholesalers, and retailers.
  • Conduct regular market research to track trends, competitor activities, and pricing insights.

Client Relationship Management

  • Handle key accounts and ensure long-term client retention.
  • Negotiate pricing, contracts, and payment terms with buyers and suppliers.
  • Collaborate with logistics and documentation teams for smooth export operations.

Product & Market Strategy

  • Coordinate with procurement teams to source high-quality rice and agro commodities.
  • Recommend packaging and branding strategies for both retail and bulk trade.
  • Represent the company at major
    trade fairs and exhibitions
    such as BIRC and Gulfood.

Reporting & Leadership

  • Prepare weekly and monthly sales reports, forecasts, and performance analysis.
  • Lead and mentor the sales team to achieve business goals.
  • Coordinate with finance for payment collections and credit management.

Key Skills

  • In-depth knowledge of
    global agro commodity markets
    , especially rice.
  • Strong
    negotiation and relationship management
    skills.
  • Familiarity with
    export documentation, LC, and shipping logistics
    .
  • Proficiency in
    MS Office, CRM tools, and sales analytics
    .
  • Fluency in Hindi & English; additional languages are a plus.
