Business Intelligence Developer Description

The Business Intelligence Developer is responsible for designing, developing and maintaining business intelligence solutions, such as dashboards, reports and data visualizations, to help our organization make data-driven decisions. This position plays a key role in designing and developing robust BI solutions that provide actionable insights and help drive business strategies. The Business Intelligence Developer will work with large sets of data, create interactive dashboards, leverage python versatility for data manipulation and analysis, and deliver analytics solutions to meet business needs.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Reporting & Dashboard Development: Create interactive reports and dashboards that provide real-time business insights using Logi Info.
  • Data Analysis & Interpretation: Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand their reporting needs and deliver insights based on data analysis.
  • Performance Optimization: Optimize query performance and improve the efficiency of the BI system to ensure fast and scalable reporting solutions.
  • Data Modeling: Develop data models that support business analysis and reporting needs. Ensure consistency, accuracy and availability of data.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with IT teams, business analysts, and other stakeholders to define data requirements and ensure BI solutions meet business objectives.
  • Documentation: Maintain comprehensive documentation for BI systems, data sources, reporting, and processes to ensure transparency and knowledge sharing.

Qualifications:

Education:

  • Bachelors degree in engineering, science, information technology or business discipline, or equivalent data analyst expertise with a minimum of 4+ years hands-on Business Intelligence experience required.

Experience:

  • Strong experience with Logi Info Analytics Tools
  • Expertise in SQL for data querying and database management.
  • Understanding of HTML and/or JavaScript
  • Solid understanding and experience building data views.
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure or Google Cloud for data storage and processing.
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret complex data to create meaningful reports.
  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
  • Strong Communication skills to effectively interact with business users and technical teams.

Additional skill set:

  • Strong ability to communicate technical and data concepts to non-technical audiences, and business concepts to technical audiences.
  • Critical thinking abilities to take complex, ambiguous, abstract requirements and break them into smaller components, patterns, and views. Ability to conceptualize and think creatively.
  • Be accountable for the timely deliverables meeting all quality goals.
  • Ability to manage change and cope with complex and ambiguous situations.
  • Ability to establish and maintain relationships with other business and technology leaders.
  • Fluent in English.
