As part of our QA team, you will ensure every release meets the highest quality standards expected in banking-grade platforms.

Role Overview

As a Mid-Level QA Engineer, you will be responsible for validating Paywize's payout, collections, virtual accounts, and connected banking modules across web and API layers. The role involves building robust test cases, executing manual and automated tests, collaborating with product & engineering teams, and ensuring defect-free releases in a fast-paced fintech environment.

Key ResponsibilitiesTest Planning & Execution

• Analyse product requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria to prepare test plans.
• Create detailed test cases for functional, regression, integration, UI, and end-to-end flows.
• Execute tests across Web, Mobile-web, and API layers.
• Validate financial transactions: payouts, settlements, wallet flows, VAs, IMPS/NEFT/RTGS flows.

API & Backend Testing

• Perform API testing using Postman, Swagger, and other tools.
• Validate request/response schemas, business logic, idempotency, error codes, and rate limits.
• Test recon flows, status updates, callbacks, and webhook events.

Automation

• Develop and maintain automation scripts for regression using Playwright/Cypress/Selenium.
• Automate repetitive scenarios to improve release efficiency.
• Participate in CI/CD-driven automated test execution cycles.

Quality Governance

• Ensure test coverage across all critical user journeys and banking-grade scenarios.
• Log defects clearly with evidence, steps, and environment details.
• Re-test fixes, verify patch releases, and ensure version stability.
• Support UAT, pre-prod verification, and release sign-off.

Fintech & Compliance Testing

• Validate RBI and banking compliance scenarios in product flows.
• Test ledger accuracy, reconciliation outputs, and balance validations.
• Work with product managers to validate risk, fraud, and security-related test cases.

Collaboration & Documentation

• Work closely with backend/frontend teams to understand architecture & edge cases.
• Participate in sprint ceremonies: grooming, planning, and retros.
• Maintain test cases, test reports, and defect logs in tools like Jira/Bitrix.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience in manual and automation testing.
• Strong experience in API testing (Postman, Swagger, REST APIs).
• Hands-on with automation frameworks (Cypress/Playwright/Selenium).
• Solid understanding of SQL for DB validation (MySQL/Postgres).
• Knowledge of fintech/banking workflows (payouts, settlements, IMPS/NEFT/RTGS).
• Familiar with version control (Git) and CI/CD-triggered test pipelines.
• Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and structured problem-solving.

Preferred Skills

• Experience testing financial transactions or banking integrations.
• Exposure to performance testing tools (JMeter, K6).
• Knowledge of API contract testing.
• Familiarity with security testing basics and compliance-driven QA.
• Understanding of microservices, queues, and event-driven architectures.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹500, ₹800,000.00 per year
