Position Title: Techno-Commercial – Networking Projects

Techno-Commercial Engineer / Executive – Networking Projects

Profile Summary:

A result-driven professional with a strong blend of technical expertise and commercial acumen in designing, implementing, and managing networking solutions. Adept at handling end-to-end project execution including presales, solution designing, cost estimation, vendor negotiations, and client relationship management. Skilled in bridging the gap between customer requirements and technical delivery to ensure successful project outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Technical:
  • Understand client requirements and design suitable networking solutions (LAN, WAN, Wi-Fi, VPN, Firewalls, Switches, Routers, Access Control, etc.).
  • Prepare solution architecture, technical proposals, and Bill of Materials (BoM).
  • Conduct site surveys, feasibility studies, and technical presentations.
  • Coordinate with the implementation team to ensure successful deployment of solutions.

  • Provide technical support during pre-sales and post-sales stages.

  • Commercial:

  • Prepare techno-commercial proposals, cost sheets, and quotations.
  • Negotiate with vendors/OEMs for pricing, warranty, and support services.
  • Evaluate project profitability, costing, and margins.
  • Assist in contract management and compliance with project terms.
  • Build and maintain client relationships to generate repeat business and cross-selling opportunities.

Desired Skills & Competencies:

  • Strong knowledge of networking technologies (Switching, Routing, Firewalls, Wireless, VPNs, and Security).
  • Familiarity with OEM products (Cisco, HP, Aruba, Fortinet, Sophos, Ruckus, etc.).
  • Experience in preparing RFQs, RFP responses, and tenders.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, Visio/AutoCAD (for network diagrams), and CRM tools.
  • Good negotiation, presentation, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work with cross-functional teams (sales, technical, vendors).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Educational Qualification:

  • B.E / B.Tech in Electronics, Computer Science, or related field.
  • CCNA / CCNP or equivalent networking certifications preferred.
  • Additional training in project management or commercial management is a plus.

Experience Required:

  • 3–4 years of experience in techno-commercial roles for IT networking projects.
  • Proven track record in handling presales, solution design, and project coordination.
