We are hiring for Lead Techno-Functional Consultant - Card Management Systems.

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Lead Techno-Functional Consultant to be the subject matter expert for the Card Management System. This role requires a blend of deep technical understanding of cloud-native banking and payments architecture (APIs, microservices, Card Issuing lifecycle) and strong functional knowledge of card products, payment networks, and regulatory requirements. The ideal candidate will bridge the gap between business requirements and technical implementation, driving successful product launches and platform enhancements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Functional & Business Analysis
• Serve as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for the Card Issuing and Core Banking platform capabilities, including credit, debit, and prepaid card lifecycle management.
• Work closely with business stakeholders (Product Owners, Operations, Finance) to analyze, document, and translate complex business requirements into detailed functional and technical specifications.
• Define, design and develop end-to-end card-related business processes, covering issuance, authorization, clearing, settlement, disputes, and fraud management.
• Advantage: Utilize experience with Visa product specifications, compliance mandates, and network requirements (e.g., Visa DPS, VROL, VPA, 3-D Secure) to ensure all solutions are network-compliant and optimized.

Technical & Platform Expertise

• Possess a strong technical understanding of Pismo's cloud-native architecture, core APIs (using Postman or similar tools), and data models.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to guide technical design, conduct API integration reviews, and ensure solutions align with best practices and performance standards.
• Help define and validate test strategies, ensuring comprehensive testing of functional features and non-functional requirements.

Leadership & Delivery

• Lead the delivery of new card products or major platform enhancements, managing scope, timeline, and quality in an Agile/Scrum environment.
• Conduct workshops, training, and knowledge transfer sessions for both business and technical teams on functionalities and payment concepts.
• Manage communication and alignment between internal teams, external partners, and vendors (e.g., card bureaus, network processors).

Required Qualifications

•Experience: 6 - 8 years of total experience, with at least 3-4 years in a dedicated Techno-Functional, Business Analyst, or Product Consultant role within the Cards & Payments domain.

• Platform Expertise: Proven, in-depth, hands-on experience with the Card Management System and its core API endpoints for card issuing and processing.
• Card Lifecycle Knowledge: Strong functional knowledge of the complete card transaction lifecycle (Authorization, Clearing & Settlement, Chargebacks/Disputes, Billing/Statement generation).
• Technical Skills: Working knowledge of RESTful APIs, microservices architecture, and experience in querying databases and analyzing logs for technical troubleshooting.
• Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to articulate complex technical and functional issues to both technical and non-technical audiences.

Preferred Qualifications (Added Advantage)

• Experience on development, delivery and end-to-end implementation for Pismo (Visa's Card Management System)
• Direct work experience or strong functional knowledge of Visa products, network mandates, and operational procedures.
• Worked on compliance with PCI-DSS, EMVCo, Visa/MasterCard
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud).
• Experience with other card systems, payment gateways, or core banking systems.
• Certification or proven experience in Agile methodologies (Scrum, SAFe).
