Project Role Description:

We are looking for a proactive and technically skilled Application Support Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will act as a software detective, providing dynamic support and resolving issues across critical business systems. This role involves Level 2 support for Windows-based applications, incident and change management, and collaboration with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless application performance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide L2 support for Windows-based applications ensuring high availability and performance.
  • Perform incident management, change management, and root cause analysis.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve technical bottlenecks.
  • Diagnose and address application issues effectively and efficiently.
  • Maintain technical documentation and manage the knowledge base.
  • Work with SQL databases and basic network configurations.
  • Document issue triage and troubleshooting steps.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service and relationship management.
  • Support application upgrades, patches, and deployments.
  • Collaborate with vendors and internal teams for integration and functionality.
  • Continuously learn and adapt to new tools, technologies, and processes.

Must-Have Technical Skills:

  • Hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure IaaS.
  • Proficiency in IIS, Windows services, and related infrastructure.
  • Solid understanding of SQL and database troubleshooting.
  • Strong network troubleshooting and configuration skills.
  • Comfortable with 24x7 on-call support.
  • Familiarity with incident management tools like ServiceNow, Jira, Confluence.

Nice-to-Have Skills:

  • Exposure to Microsoft Azure PaaS, public/private cloud environments.
  • Experience with cloud services administration (AWS, Azure, GCP).
  • Knowledge of SharePoint administration and troubleshooting.
  • Scripting skills for automation and debugging.

Soft Skills:

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong email writing and documentation abilities.
  • Ability to multitask and think critically under pressure.
  • Willingness to work in a 24x7 support model, if required.
  • Good team player with the ability to work independently when needed.
