Business Development Manager / Executive – Travel & Tourism

Location: Andheri West, Mumbai (On-site)

Experience: 2 to 6 Years

About the Role

Host My Trips is a rapidly growing boutique travel company based in Mumbai. We are looking for an experienced and resourceful Business Development Manager/Executive to identify new opportunities, build strong industry partnerships, and drive sustainable business growth.

Candidates with prior experience in the Travel & Tourism or Hospitality industry will be given first preference — this experience is mandatory.

The ideal candidate will have a proven ability to develop new business, onboard hospitality partners, and think strategically to capitalize on emerging market trends.

Key Responsibilities

  • Research and identify new business opportunities — including new markets, growth areas, partnerships, and potential clients.
  • Approach and connect with hospitality partners, hotels, and institutions for collaboration.
  • Generate leads and handle cold calling to onboard new travel and hospitality partners.
  • Meet clients and partners (in person or virtually) to present offerings and close deals.
  • Build and maintain strong business relationships with clients and partners to ensure long-term collaboration.
  • Develop and implement effective business growth and sales strategies.
  • Negotiate pricing and contracts in line with company policy.
  • Coordinate with internal teams (operations, finance, marketing, and sales) to ensure smooth execution of business deals.
  • Create and maintain a structured sales pipeline and track progress against targets.
  • Conduct competitor and market analysis to identify trends and new opportunities.
  • Prepare regular reports, forecasts, and presentations for senior management.

  • Good IT skills (MS Office, Spreadsheets, CRM tools).

  • Capability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
  • Confident and proactive approach with a strong sense of ownership.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field.
  • MBA preferred but not mandatory.
  • 2–6 years of experience in Business Development, preferably in Travel, Tourism, or Hospitality.
