Job Title: Key Account Manager Mobility

Reports To: General Manager Mobility

Position Summary

The Key Account Manager – Mobility will be responsible for driving sales growth, managing key customer relationships, and developing new business opportunities in the Mobility segment. This individual will work cross-functionally with application, technical, planning, and customer service teams to ensure customer satisfaction and meet organizational sales objectives.

The role demands a proactive professional with strong communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills, capable of working effectively with OEMs and Tier-1 customers in the two-wheeler or automotive domain.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

(Other duties may be assigned beyond the core functions listed below.)

  1. Achieve sales targets for assigned customers and contribute to overall organizational growth.
  2. Identify and develop new customers and business opportunities within the Mobility segment.
  3. Collaborate with application and technical teams to prepare quotations, costing, and proposals.
  4. Negotiate with customers to secure new projects, programs, and purchase orders.
  5. Receive and manage monthly customer schedules, coordinating with planning and customer service teams for forecasting and delivery.
  6. Ensure service levels and on-time delivery meet customer expectations.
  7. Coordinate dispatches and ensure Goods Receipt Notes (GRNs) are processed accurately.
  8. Monitor and manage collections to achieve debtor days targets.
  9. Develop pricing strategies, track costs and competition, and monitor supply-demand trends.
  10. Prepare sales forecasts, budgets, and variance analyses; initiate corrective actions as needed.
  11. Identify new market opportunities and competitive positioning through market intelligence.
  12. Build and sustain strong relationships with key accounts through periodic visits and continuous engagement.

Supervisory Responsibilities

The incumbent functions as an individual contributor, reporting to the General Manager – Mobility, and supports daily operations to achieve business objectives.

Qualifications

  • Education: B.E./B.Tech (Master's degree preferred).
  • Experience: 5 - 7 years in Sales or Key Account Management, preferably in the Automotive or Two-Wheeler industry.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel, PowerPoint, and data-driven presentations.
  • Willingness to travel frequently within India (40–50% travel required).

Required Skills

  1. Strong knowledge of the Two-Wheeler/Automotive industry, including trends in EV and electrification technologies.
  2. Proven ability to drive projects from concept to completion within defined timelines.
  3. Knowledge of customer application processes and early involvement with engineering and product development teams (ERC/PD).
  4. Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
  5. Strong organizational and time management capabilities to meet multiple deadlines.
  6. High level of customer orientation and ability to build long-term relationships.
  7. Team-oriented mindset — willing to support colleagues and foster collaboration across departments.
  8. Self-motivated and proactive, capable of influencing and motivating others to achieve sales objectives.
  9. Analytical and strategic thinker with a results-driven approach.

Physical Demands / Work Environment

  • Requires 40–50% domestic travel across India.
  • Frequent visits to customer sites, suppliers, and participation in exhibitions.
  • Work may extend beyond normal office hours due to business and travel demands.
