**Job Summary**:
The Executive - Overseas Pricing in Freight Forwarding is responsible for managing and optimizing pricing strategies for international shipments, ensuring competitive and profitable pricing aligned with IATA standards. The role involves analysing market trends, liaising with overseas agents, and coordinating with internal teams to deliver accurate, timely, and competitive pricing solutions for customers. The Senior Executive will also ensure adherence to IATA regulations and best practices in freight forwarding.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- **Pricing Strategy Development**:

- Develop and implement competitive overseas pricing strategies for air, ocean, and land freight services.
- Analyse market trends, competitor pricing, and customer requirements to determine optimal pricing structures.
- Work closely with sales teams to support pricing initiatives and contribute to sales targets.
- **Market Research & Analysis**:

- Conduct thorough market research to gather information on pricing trends, customer demand, and regional market conditions.
- Maintain a strong understanding of international freight forwarding and shipping requirements to ensure pricing is aligned with industry standards, including IATA regulations.
- Track and analyze changes in fuel costs, government regulations, and shipping surcharges to adjust pricing models accordingly.
- **Overseas Coordination & Relationships**:

- Collaborate with overseas agents, partners, and vendors to ensure competitive pricing for international shipments.
- Build and maintain relationships with global shipping lines, airlines, and freight providers to negotiate favourable rates and services.
- Support the negotiation process by working closely with overseas counterparts to secure the best rates for air, sea, and land freight.
- **Rate Quotation & Proposal Preparation**:

- Provide accurate and timely rate quotations for overseas freight shipments based on customer requirements and pricing guidelines.
- Work with the sales team to prepare customized proposals for customers, ensuring profitability while staying competitive.
- Review and finalize pricing agreements with customers, ensuring all terms are aligned with company policies and IATA standards.
- **Internal Collaboration & Communication**:

- Coordinate with operations, sales, and customer service teams to ensure seamless implementation of pricing strategies.
- Provide guidance to junior pricing staff and other departments on pricing-related matters and strategies.
- Share market intelligence and pricing insights with key stakeholders to help align business development and sales strategies.
- **Cost and Profitability Management**:

- Monitor and control overseas pricing profitability by assessing cost structures and ensuring competitive yet profitable rates.
- Review operational costs and advise on pricing adjustments to maintain margins while remaining competitive in the market.
- Track the performance of pricing strategies and recommend adjustments as necessary.
- **Compliance & Documentation**:

- Ensure that all pricing activities comply with IATA’s regulations and standards, including adherence to international pricing frameworks and tariff structures.
- Maintain accurate documentation of all pricing quotations, agreements, and rate changes in the company’s systems.
- Support audits and compliance checks to ensure that all pricing practices align with global and local regulations.
- **Reporting & Performance Monitoring**:

- Prepare and present regular reports on pricing activities, market trends, and profitability to senior management.
- Track key performance indicators (KPIs) related to pricing performance, including customer feedback, competitive benchmarking, and margin analysis.
- Use data analytics to measure the effectiveness of pricing strategies and recommend improvements.

**Qualifications & Skills**:

- **Education**: Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- **Experience**:

- Minimum of 4-6 years of experience in pricing, sales, or operations within the freight forwarding or logistics industry, preferably with a focus on overseas or international shipments.
- Strong understanding of IATA regulations, freight forwarding pricing structures, and international shipping requirements.
- Experience in market research and analysis, with the ability to interpret market trends and adjust pricing strategies accordingly.
- **Skills**:

- Strong negotiation skills, with the ability to work with international vendors and service providers.
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to process complex data and derive actionable insights.
- Proficiency in pricing software, CRM systems, and Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel).
