
Indian Chef: Hotel

**Job Summary**:
The Indian Chef is responsible for planning, preparing, and presenting authentic Indian cuisine as per the hotel’s standards. They ensure quality, consistency, and hygiene while managing the Indian section of the kitchen and coordinating with other team members to provide guests with a memorable dining experience.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Prepare and cook authentic Indian dishes, including regional specialties, as per recipes and hotel standards.
- Plan and execute the daily mise-en-place for the Indian kitchen section.
- Monitor food quality, taste, and presentation to ensure guest satisfaction.
- Maintain high standards of hygiene and food safety in compliance with HACCP and hotel policies.
- Train and guide commis and junior cooks in the preparation and presentation of Indian cuisine.
- Coordinate with the purchasing department to ensure timely availability of fresh ingredients and specialty spices.
- Control wastage, portioning, and inventory of Indian kitchen supplies.
- Develop new menu items and specials to keep the Indian menu fresh and innovative.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations, equipment, and storage areas.
- Work closely with other chefs and kitchen staff to ensure smooth kitchen operations.
- Ensure adherence to all health, safety, and hygiene standards in the kitchen.
**Profile Requirements**:
- Expertise in preparing authentic Indian cuisine with knowledge of various regional recipes.
- Good understanding of traditional and modern cooking techniques.
- Strong sense of taste and presentation.
- Good leadership and teamwork skills.
- Knowledge of kitchen hygiene and safety practices.
- Ability to work under pressure and multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Flexible to work in shifts, weekends, and holidays.
**Education & Experience**:
Degree/Diploma in Hotel Management or Culinary Arts preferred.
Minimum 2-5 years of experience as an Indian Chef or Cook in a reputed hotel or resort.
Pay: ₹18,000.00 - ₹22,000.00 per month
