**Position Overview**

The Chef de Partie (CDP) specializing in Pan-Asian cuisine is responsible for preparing and presenting high-quality dishes in their designated section of the kitchen. This role requires expertise in various Pan-Asian culinary techniques and dishes, as well as the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high food safety and quality standards.

**Key Responsibilities**
- **Food Preparation and Cooking**:

- Prepare, cook, and present dishes from various Pan-Asian cuisines, such as Chinese, Japanese, Thai, Korean, and Vietnamese.
- Ensure all food is prepared to the highest standards of taste, presentation, and quality.
- Follow recipes and portion controls while maintaining consistency across all dishes.
- **Kitchen Operations**:

- Manage a specific section of the kitchen, ensuring smooth operations during service.
- Coordinate with other sections to ensure timely and efficient service.
- Assist in food preparation during peak hours and for special events or menus.
- **Quality and Food Safety**:

- Maintain hygiene and food safety standards in line with health regulations.
- Conduct regular checks of ingredients to ensure freshness and proper storage.
- Minimize waste by using ingredients efficiently and monitoring portion sizes.
- **Menu and Innovation**:

- Assist in the development of new Pan-Asian dishes and seasonal menus.
- Experiment with flavors and techniques to enhance the dining experience.
- Provide input to the Head Chef or Sous Chef on menu updates and improvements.
- **Training and Teamwork**:

- Support and train junior kitchen staff in preparing Pan-Asian dishes.
- Foster a collaborative and positive work environment within the kitchen team.
- Communicate effectively with colleagues and management to ensure seamless operations.
- **Inventory and Equipment Management**:

- Monitor stock levels in your section and report shortages to the Sous Chef or Head Chef.
- Ensure all kitchen equipment in your section is maintained and in working order.
- Handle ingredients, tools, and appliances with care to prolong their usability.

**Skills and Qualifications**
- **Education**: Certification or diploma in Culinary Arts or a related field.
- **Experience**: 2-4 years of experience as a CDP or similar role, with a focus on Pan-Asian cuisine.
- **Technical Skills**:

- Expertise in Pan-Asian cooking techniques, ingredients, and flavor profiles.
- Knowledge of plating and presentation styles specific to Pan-Asian dishes.
- Familiarity with kitchen equipment and tools commonly used in Pan-Asian cooking.
- **Soft Skills**:

- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work under pressure in a high-volume environment.
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
