**Role Description - Procurement Buyer, Asia**

Description:
The Services Buyer strategically sources professional services on behalf of the Corporate Procurement Department in support of business partner needs. This position:

- understands business partner needs
- analyzes marketplace trends
- researches and contributes thought leadership
- leads and supports supplier negotiations
- establishes competitive bidding environments
- maximizes supplier value
- provides responsive service to business stakeholders
- performs procurement governance functional responsibilities

This position is based in our Bangalore office. The Buyer will interface with business partners of varying seniority in different locations within Asia, predominantly India and Singapore, colleagues from the Procurement team based in Chicago and London, Finance department senior management, Legal department, Third Party Risk Management (TPRM) department and external suppliers.

The Buyer will support the following categories: Professional Services, Marketing, HR Benefits and Services, Hardware, Facilities and Real Estate and Telecoms.

Principal Accountabilities:

- Partnering with internal business customers to evaluate current and anticipated business needs
- Soliciting and evaluating proposals employing appropriate strategic sourcing, negotiation, total cost of ownership, and “should-cost” analysis techniques while leveraging internal and external expertise
- Raising purchase orders (POs) and supplier contracts in support of the Procure to Pay (P2P) process.
- Supporting TPRM processes and procedures (e.g. supplier risk reviews, quarterly business reviews, supplier scorecards, etc )
- Managing post-buy activities including resolution of delivery/performance issues, invoice versus purchase discrepancies, validation of project/delivery milestones, and payment facilitation
- Review of contracts from a commercial perspective, to ensure value for money, and reduced risk for the organization.
- Contributing to the creation and maintenance of spend category strategies

Skill & Technical Requirements:

- Strong interpersonal and relationship building skills
- Client-first orientation and responsiveness
- Strong project management and data analysis skills
- Experience in negotiating domestic and ideally global enterprise agreements
- Several years of experience in Procurement function or role requiring similar skillset
- College Bachelor’s degree with demonstrated academic distinction
