You will be working as Buyer, reporting to Production Manager for Electrification business area, Smart Power division based in Bangalore, India. You will be responsible for purchasing materials according to required technical specification, price, delivery schedule and terms. Ensuring purchasing activities align with corporate purchasing policies and procedures.

**Your responsibilities**:

- Identifying new suppliers in cooperation with relevant category team. Qualifying new suppliers in cooperation with Supplier Quality and Engineering specialists
- Negotiating agreements with main suppliers, and periodically renews pricelists, terms, and conditions
- Adapting corporate contractual framework to the local business needs. Recommending frame agreements to management and executes upon approval
- Analyzing and evaluating bids in order to determine the optimal value
- Initiating purchase orders (PO) in the system, according to the Purchase Requisitions and in alignment with standard procedures, and confirms delivery with suppliers, monitors and tracks supplier performance to purchase order requirements
- Overseeing supplier performance (on time delivery, quality, lead time), and resolves performance issues

**Your background**:

- Bachelor’s in engineering
- Minimum 2 - 5 years of experience in relevant field
- Experience working with enterprise resource planning and standard operating procedures
- Good written and verbal communication skills
