**Key Responsibilities**:

- Manage end-to-end payroll processing for employees across the APJ region, ensuring accuracy and compliance with local laws and internal policies.
- Collaborate with HR, Finance and relevant stakeholders to gather and validate payroll inputs such as new hires, terminations, compensation changes, bonuses and recoveries.
- Ensure timely payroll execution and compliance with all tax, labor and statutory regulations.
- Partner with external payroll vendors and tax advisors to address multi-country payroll complexities and regulatory updates.
- Prepare and file statutory returns, payroll reports and compliance documentation in line with country-specific requirements.
- Maintain accurate payroll records and uphold employee data confidentiality in compliance with data protection regulations.
- Handle payroll-related employee queries and resolve discrepancies in a timely, professional manner.
- Support audits, due diligence processes and internal reviews by providing relevant payroll and compliance data.
- Continuously assess and enhance payroll processes for accuracy, efficiency and compliance.

**Qualifications**:

- Minimum 5 years of experience in **India payroll processing**; APJ regional exposure is an advantage.
- Strong understanding of **Indian payroll legislation**, taxation, statutory benefits and labor laws.
- Proficient in using **payroll systems and HRIS platforms**; multi-country payroll experience is desirable.

**Skills Required**:

- ** Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel** (e.g., formulas, pivot tables, lookups).
- Advanced proficiency in the **Power** **BI**tool, with advanced analytical skills desired.
- **Strong analytical skills** with attention to detail and accuracy in handling large datasets.
- **Effective communication skills**, both written and verbal, to interact with internal and external stakeholders.
- **Problem-solving mindset** and ability to manage payroll issues independently and proactively.
- **Organizational and time management skills** to meet strict deadlines across multiple geographies.
- A **growth mindset** - must be **hungry to learn and experiment with new tools, systems, and ways of working** to improve processes and drive efficiency.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with cross-functional teams.
