Food preparation: Prepares ingredients for the head chef, and uses kitchen equipment to cook food
- Kitchen management: Oversees kitchen operations, and plans and assigns tasks to kitchen staff
- Staff management: Trains new staff, and disciplines underperforming staff
- Menu planning: Assists the head chef with menu design and ingredient selection
- Inventory management: Tracks and orders inventory, and ensures the kitchen has the supplies it needs
- Safety and sanitation: Ensures the kitchen is clean and safe, and that staff are following food safety standards
- Equipment maintenance: Monitors and maintains kitchen equipment, and ensures it's in working order
- Presentation: Plans and directs how food is presented on the plate
- Marketing: Sometimes invites clients to food tastings to market the restaurant's dishes
- Crisis management: Can think on their feet and make decisions when problems arise
Pay: From ₹25,000.00 per month
