Job Description: Project Planner

Role Overview: The Project Planner will play a crucial role in project planning and management, focusing on operations within the company. This role requires a strong background in finance, preferably with an MBA in Finance or Operations. A bachelor's degree in engineering (B.Tech), particularly in Mechanical Engineering, is essential. The Project Planner will report directly to the CEO and be responsible for creating MIS reports, conducting analytics, and overseeing cost computations and project-related data preparation.

Key Responsibilities:

- Develop and implement project plans for operations initiatives, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and timelines.
- Utilize a strong finance background to incorporate financial considerations into project planning and decision-making.
- Prepare monthly manhour cost computations and monitor project expenditures.
- Utilize advanced Excel skills for data analysis, reporting, and financial modeling.
- Employ Critical Path Method (CPM) and Program Evaluation and Review Technique (PERT) for project scheduling and resource allocation.
- Prepare utilization and consumption reports for projects, highlighting key performance indicators.
- Collaborate with the accounts department to prepare accurate and timely invoices based on project data.
- Generate Management Information System (MIS) reports to track project performance and provide insights to stakeholders.
- Conduct data analysis and provide actionable recommendations based on project data and financial metrics.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure project milestones are met efficiently and within budget.
- Regularly update project stakeholders on progress, risks, and opportunities.
- Optimize project planning processes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.

**Requirements**:

- MBA in Finance or Operations is preferred.
- Bachelor's degree in engineering (B.Tech required); Mechanical Engineering background preferred, with additional preference for degrees in marine engineering or naval architecture.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in project planning, preferably in operations or engineering projects.
- Strong background in finance with demonstrated experience in budget management and cost control.
- Familiarity with CPM, PERT, and other project management methodologies.
- Proven experience in operations project planning and management, preferably in a finance-intensive environment.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including advanced functions and data analysis capabilities.
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and draw meaningful conclusions.
- Ability to generate and present clear and concise MIS reports to executive leadership.
- Detail-oriented and organized, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Effective communication skills with the ability to collaborate across departments and influence decision-making.
- Prior experience in pulling analytics and translating findings into actionable insights.
- Proactive approach to problem-solving and project management, with a track record of delivering results.

Preferred Qualifications:

- Certification in project management (e.g., PMP)
- Familiarity with project management tools and software like Primavera, MS Projects, Zoho Projects
- Experience in marine field costing, leveraging this knowledge to enhance project costing and budgeting strategies, would be advantageous.

Pay: ₹35,000.00 - ₹50,000.00 per month
