**Job Title**: Sous Chef
**Salary Range**: INR 7-12 LPA (CTC)
The Sous Chef will play a critical role in maintaining food quality, mentoring junior kitchen staff, ensuring smooth execution of service, and supporting innovation and cost control efforts.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Assist the Executive Chef in overseeing kitchen operations and ensuring food preparation, presentation, and taste meet the highest standards.
- Supervise kitchen staff and daily operations during prep, service, and closing.
- Ensure hygiene and food safety protocols are strictly followed.
- Support the creation and execution of seasonal and festive menu items.
- Maintain consistency across all recipes and ensure timely mise en place and service delivery.
- Monitor inventory levels, help with ordering, and reduce wastage through efficient planning.
- Assist in managing food costs, portion control, and ensuring ingredient usage aligns with budget guidelines.
- Train and mentor junior kitchen team members to maintain performance and quality standards.
- Support the use of certified organic and premium ingredients available on the platform to creatively enhance recipes.
- Act as a dependable second-in-command, stepping in during the Executive Chef’s absence.
- Gather feedback from the team and communicate operational or quality challenges effectively to senior leadership.
- Graduate from a recognized culinary institute or relevant professional experience in top-tier kitchens.
- 5-8 years of experience in upscale restaurants, hotels, or high-volume kitchens.
- At least 1-2 years of experience in a Sous Chef or Junior Sous Chef capacity.
- Strong organizational and leadership skills with attention to detail.
- Passion for high-quality food and the ability to execute consistently under pressure.
- Familiarity with kitchen financials, food costing, and inventory practices.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
- Adaptable and eager to grow within a fast-paced, innovation-driven environment.
- Exposure to international cuisines or culinary techniques is a plus.
Pay: Up to ₹1,200,000.00 per month
