**The Opportunity**:
**Role Purpose**
- Wholesale Credit & Lending (WCL) is an important contributor to the Group: it supports 80% of the revenues generated by Wholesale banking and forms a key part of the Group-wide transformation.
- WCL Transformation & Delivery is responsible for delivering high priority programmes to simplify, digitise at scale and automate the credit and lending journey, as well as supporting the creation of a new, globally consistent credit and lending organisation serving both GB and CMB business lines which collectively build towards our vision of becoming a leader in digitally enabled domestic and cross border lending across network, by improving customer experience generating competitive advantage through use of data and participation in emerging borrowing models.

**What you’ll do**:
**Key Responsibilities**

The Associate, Resource and Finance will be responsible for:

- Supports capitalisation activity across the value stream
- Supports on the various activities supporting CTB and RTB
- Build and maintain internal and external (e.g., TAPFIN) business relationships to support strategic change in WCL, ensuring written submissions are tailored for the intended audience
- Support the resourcing and recruitment process, liaising with various colleagues and stakeholders,
- Oversight of Contracts Procurement including accruals reporting - ensure proper procurement and management of contracts within agreed budgets, timescales and to required quality and performance standards i.e., CAP submissions and PSRs, purchase requisitions, purchase orders etc.
- Timely review of invoices ensuring details are accurate and aligns to resource and financing tools i.e., Cost Model, timely closure of the purchase orders. Input into reporting actual resource costs against forecast, highlighting any variances and areas for concern and making recommendations for actions to be taken.
- Accurate tracking of cost and headcount for both actuals and forecast in the cost model, including updates for transformation resources on GPDM.
- Build and maintain business relationships to support strategic change in WCL.
- Review consolidated MI to deliver insightful analysis, recommend the necessary MI tools and define reports to be used by management.

Primary customers are:

- WCL functional teams
- Business lines - GBM & CMB
- Functional Teams - e.g., Risk, Group Finance
- Operational support teams
- Group & Regional teams
- Other Risk sub-functions - global and regional
- The Associate, Resource and Finance will work with senior management and programme sponsors.
Other stakeholders on projects will include (as demanded by specific project need):

- Other IT delivery functions
- Other Transformation functions
- Regulatory authorities
- Other service delivery functions
- Data service providers
- Software, data and service vendors
- The Associate, Resource and Finance will interact equally with senior management of stakeholder groups and line staff as necessary.
Requirements

**Experience and Capabilities**
- Good understanding of financial services
- Experience of having responsibility for recruitment, resourcing, procurement across regions with complexities
- Ability of working in complex multi-jurisdiction and multi-cultural environments
- Evidence of managing and satisfying multiple stakeholders and perspectives in a fluid and changing environment
- High level of drive and motivation to ensure successful delivery of complex transformational initiatives
- Relationship management, collaboration and influencing skills
- Good organizational, time management and planning skills
- Good knowledge of MS Office, Oracle Fusion, GPDM, Clarity, SharePoint, Jira, Confluence
