Qc Chief

**Education**: B.E. / B.Tech. / B.Sc. in Geophysics, Electronics, or Electrical Engineering

**Experience**: Minimum 5 years in seismic data acquisition with expertise in quality control

**Key Responsibilities / KRAs**:

- Oversee and ensure the quality of seismic data acquisition in compliance with project specifications
- Monitor real-time data using QC software and tools to verify the integrity, completeness, and consistency of seismic recordings
- Analyze spread performance, noise levels, and open/active channel percentages to maintain high data quality standards
- Work closely with the Party Chief and Observer to review and validate recording parameters and acquisition geometry
- Identify and troubleshoot data-related anomalies and coordinate corrective actions in the field
- Validate daily test results of seismic equipment and ensure documentation is complete and up to date
- Maintain a detailed log of QC checks, data quality reports, and any corrective actions taken
- Conduct regular audits of equipment deployment and data logging practices to ensure adherence to operational protocols
- Train and mentor field personnel on QC processes, best practices, and standards
- Coordinate with the data processing and interpretation teams to ensure field data meets downstream requirements
- Report daily QC status to the client and internal stakeholders, highlighting any issues and resolutions
- Support the development and implementation of quality improvement plans based on field observations
