- **Student Advising**:

- Provide individual and group counseling to students regarding academic goals, career options, and personal development.
- Assist students in developing educational plans that align with their interests, abilities, and career aspirations.
- Guide students in course selection and scheduling to meet graduation requirements.
- **Career Guidance**:

- Offer career counseling and resources to help students explore career paths and make informed decisions.
- Conduct workshops and seminars on career development, resume writing, and job interview skills.
- Collaborate with employers and community organizations to provide students with internship and job opportunities.
- **Academic Support**:

- Identify students’ academic challenges and provide appropriate interventions and support.
- Develop and implement academic improvement plans for students who are struggling.
- Coordinate with teachers, administrators, and parents to monitor student progress and ensure support systems are in place.
- **College Preparation**:

- Provide information on scholarships, financial aid, and other resources for higher education.
- Organize college fairs, campus visits, and meetings with college representatives.
- **Personal Development**:

- Address students' personal and social issues that may affect their academic performance and well-being.
- Provide counseling on stress management, time management, and study skills.
- Promote healthy coping strategies and positive behavior.
- **Program Development**:

- Develop and implement programs that support student achievement and well-being.
- Stay updated on best practices in educational counseling and integrate new strategies into counseling programs.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of counseling programs and make improvements as needed.
- **Record Keeping and Reporting**:

- Maintain accurate and confidential student records.
- Prepare reports on counseling activities, student progress, and program outcomes.
- Comply with school policies, state regulations, and ethical standards in counseling.
- **Collaboration**:

- Work closely with teachers, administrators, and parents to support student success.
- Participate in staff meetings, professional development, and community events.
- Collaborate with mental health professionals and external agencies to provide comprehensive support for students.

Qualifications:

- **Education**:

- Bachelor’s degree in Counseling, Education, Psychology, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
- **Experience**:

- Proven experience as an educational counselor or in a similar role.
- Experience working with students in an educational setting.
- **Skills**:

- Strong counseling and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent communication and listening abilities.
- Ability to build rapport with students and establish a trusting relationship.
- Organizational and time management skills.
- Knowledge of academic and career counseling resources and tools.
- **Other Requirements**:

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Empathy, patience, and a genuine interest in student development.
- Commitment to continuous professional growth and development.
