**Job Purpose**:
To develop dobby designs for the Grasim Shirting brand. To transfer the design data to the technical design team in Kolhapur while also providing any special design related instructions. To prepare the collection presentation for the booking conference of Grasim OTC with the respective distributors.

**Job Context & Major Challenges**:
At Grasim Premium Fabric, the OTC Design team is responsible for the development of the design collections for the company’s OTC brands - Soktas and Giza House. In April 2024, the company decided to launch a new OTC brand - GRASIM FINE FABRICS. The new brand will conduct 4 quarterly booking conferences, inviting distributors from various regions of the country to place their order bookings. The designer in this position will handle the responsibility of designing the collection for the new brand. The new brand has been launched in the mid-premium segment which is currently populated by brands such as Arvind, Siyarams and Raymond. So the designer will be challenged to create designs which are better and unique as compared to the competition. Also, as this is a new brand launch, the designer will be required to understand the market and customer requirements and then develop the collection accordingly.

- 1)To create new designs and concepts for Grasim OTC Shirting.
2) To create and execute the Option plan for each booking conference of Grasim Shirting
3) To prepare the order set after each booking conference.
4)To meet with various customers and distributors of Grasim shirting so as to understand the market requirements in terms of design / product and to incorporate the same in the collection
- 1)a)Developing a collection of contemporary dobby designs for the brand.
b)Planning desk loom samples of shortlisted designs in consultation with the manager.
c)Sending the design data to Kolhapur design team for further process.
2)a)To discuss and create an design option plan for the upcoming booking conference of Grasim shirting in consultation with the manager and department head.
3)a)To prepare the order set with all relevant information to be sent to the technical design team in Kolhapur for proceeding with the manufacturing process.
b)To create copies of the order set as required from time to time.
4)a)To plan visits to various distributors of Grasim shirting before each conference.
b)To understand the customer’s design requirments, to bring back the feedback and incorporate the same in the collection.
