**Job Context & Major Challenges**

Context: The marketing design team (B&R segment) is responsible for developing new designs for the brands (Domestic as well as Exports) and trade customers. They are also responsible for the development of seasonal collections which are made bi-annually (Spring Summer & Autumn Winter). GPF is already making such collections since 2019. In addition to the seasonal collections, the design team is in constant touch with the brand designers and work with them to co-create exclusive collections as per the requirements of the brands. The themes and concepts for such collections is given by the brand designers which are then to be interpreted into CAD designs keeping in mind our plants production capabilities.

Challenges: 1. Understanding the latest trends in the international markets and to create collections which will be suitable for various International and Indian brand customers. 2. Good communication skills are important to understand the specific needs of the buyers and interpret them into viable and feasible design CADS. 3. Understanding and keeping updated of the trade segment to create designs specific to their requirements.

**1)**To develop Dobby designs for the Seasonal Collections (Spring Summer and Autumn Winter) for B&R segment-**

To research, analyze and forecast the trends in terms of color, design, product etc. for the upcoming season. To create theme boards / mood boards for the collection. To develop CAD designs as per the themes/concepts and finalize the complete collection. To transfer the data related to the collection designs to the plant design team.

**2)**To develop Dobby designs for B&R customers (Exports and Domestic).**

To meet with the designers/buyers of B&R customers and understand their requirements. To make CADs according to the themes and concepts provided by the buyers. To provide technical feedback to the customers related to their developments.

**3)**To develop Dobby designs for trade customers-**

To meet with trade customers and understand their requirements in terms of design, color and articles. To create new design CADs and get them approved from the buyer. To send the design data to the plant design team for sampling/production
