Key Responsibilities:

- **Lesson Planning and Instruction**:

- Develop and deliver well-structured lesson plans based on the curriculum for senior secondary students (typically Grades 11-12).
- Teach English literature, grammar, composition, and language skills, ensuring students grasp key concepts and themes.
- Deliver lessons on various genres of literature, including poetry, prose, drama, and novels, focusing on analysis, interpretation, and appreciation.
- Develop a mix of traditional and modern teaching methods to engage students and cater to different learning styles.
- Teach writing skills, including essay writing, letter writing, precis writing, and creative writing, along with proper grammar and syntax.
- Use multimedia tools, technology, and other resources to enhance the learning experience.
- **Literary Analysis and Critical Thinking**:

- Encourage students to analyze and critically engage with English literature, including understanding characters, themes, and the cultural context of literary works.
- Guide students in interpreting and discussing texts, fostering discussions on literary devices, symbolism, and the significance of literature in society.
- Encourage independent reading and research to deepen students’ understanding of various literary works and writers.
- **Assessment and Evaluation**:

- Regularly assess students' progress through assignments, quizzes, presentations, written exams, and classroom participation.
- Provide constructive feedback to students on their essays, compositions, and assignments, helping them improve their writing and critical thinking skills.
- Prepare students for board examinations (if applicable), conducting mock tests, revision sessions, and individualized coaching.
- Maintain accurate records of students’ performance and academic progress.
- **Classroom Management**:

- Create a positive and respectful classroom environment conducive to learning.
- Establish clear expectations for classroom behavior, academic performance, and participation.
- Manage classroom dynamics effectively, ensuring all students are engaged and have the opportunity to succeed.
- **Curriculum Development**:

- Follow the prescribed curriculum and ensure it is taught effectively, while integrating relevant supplementary materials (e.g., books, videos, articles).
- Modify teaching strategies and materials to meet the varied needs of students, including those with special educational needs.
- **Student Support**:

- Provide guidance and academic support to students, both inside and outside the classroom.
- Offer help with preparing for exams, revising difficult topics, and providing additional resources.
- Advise students on their academic progress and provide career or further education guidance related to English studies.
- **Parent and School Communication**:

- Maintain regular communication with parents regarding students’ academic progress, behavior, and areas of improvement.
- Participate in parent-teacher meetings, sharing insights about students' strengths and areas needing attention.
- Collaborate with school management, counselors, and other teachers to ensure students' overall development.
- **Professional Development**:

- Stay updated on the latest trends in English literature and language teaching methods.
- Attend professional development workshops, seminars, and conferences to continuously improve teaching skills.
- Participate in school events, extracurricular activities, and other professional collaborations to support the school community.

Pay: ₹50,000.00 - ₹55,000.00 per month
