Job Description: Business Development Manager - Feet on Street


Position Summary: We are seeking an enthusiastic and results-driven Business Development Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in driving revenue by building and managing relationships with schools, corporates, and travel agents. This field-based role requires someone who thrives in a sales-driven environment, enjoys networking, and has a proactive approach to identifying new business opportunities and growing our market presence.


Key Responsibilities:

1. Field Sales & Business Outreach:

o Proactively reach out to schools, corporates, and travel agents in designated territories.

o Develop and execute field sales strategies to penetrate the market and drive revenue growth.

o Conduct regular visits and sales presentations to promote the company’s services and products.


2. Relationship Building:

o Establish and maintain strong relationships with decision-makers, influencers, and stakeholders in target institutions and organizations.

o Act as a trusted advisor, understanding client needs, and customizing solutions to meet them.


3. Revenue Generation:

o Meet and exceed monthly and quarterly sales targets and revenue goals.

o Collaborate with internal teams to create customized proposals and sales pitches to convert leads into clients.

o Identify opportunities for upselling and cross-selling within existing accounts.


4. Market Observation & Competitive Analysis:

o Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and potential challenges within the field.

o Provide regular feedback to the management team, contributing to strategic decision-making.


5. Reporting & Sales Metrics:

o Document sales activities, client interactions, and progress in CRM tools.

o Prepare regular reports detailing sales performance, client feedback, and emerging opportunities.


Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or related field.

• 3+ years of field sales or business development experience, preferably with a focus on schools, corporates, and/or travel agents.

• Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to influence and negotiate.

• Self-motivated, proactive, and able to work independently.

Additional Information:

• This role requires travel within assigned territories and may involve occasional weekend or evening work based on client availability.

• Compensation includes a base salary and performance-based incentives.
