
Strategic Account Manager for Indian Government

The Role
This is an exciting opportunity to work with large organizations around the world, creating and implementing strategic account plans targeting Indian Government accounts. As a Major Account Manager-Defense Sector, you'll partner with a systems engineer to displace competing technologies and build market share within your targeted list of major accounts.
Your Key Responsibilities
- Acquire, lead, and develop major accounts within Indian Government Ministries and Nodal Agencies
- Identify cross-selling and up-selling opportunities within targeted major accounts
- Conduct effective presentations to C-level sales planning, leading to accurate forecasting of the business
- Establish relationships with and sell through channel partners
- Demonstrate knowledge of cybersecurity industry, products, and competitor offerings
- Maintain a rolodex of mid to senior level connects in the Indian Defense Ministries, Airforce, Navy and Indian Army and sub ministries like DRDO, Defense labs, BEL, Consulting partners & niche Government specific partners
Requirements
To succeed in this role, you'll need:
- Experience exceeding quota sales
- A strong understanding of network infrastructure-based security appliances, including firewalls, SSL/IPSEC VPNs, security proxies, and caches
- Practical knowledge of routing and switching products that will be installed adjacent to our appliances
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, including presentation skills for clients and internal partners
- Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills
- Experience working with Channel partners and understanding of a channel-centric go-to-market approach
- A deep understanding of the complexities around product and technology integrations
