Job Summary

The IT Application Owner is a critical role responsible for the overall accountability and ownership of an application and/or infrastructure instance(s). The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the application and its technical requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain structural availability, stability, and performance of the application on Production and Test environments.
  • Ensure Policy Compliance and adherence to the governance processes for the application(s) owned.
  • Timely completion of External/Internal Audit Teams, SOX processes to avoid any Delays or Escalations related to Non-compliance.
  • Plan/Conduct/Support DR (Disaster Recovery) Test.
  • Liaising with business stakeholders on product enhancement, version upgrades, new requirement and getting them implemented while closing working with the deployment teams.
  • Collaborate with Service Operation / L2 where application expertise is required
  • Work Closely with Technical Information Security officer on items related to IT Security and other governance topics.
  • Managing software licenses, security certificates and contracts with service providers.
  • Vendor Management of all application related service-providers:
  • Change Management: Production Change Review and Impact Analysis.
  • Responsible for Access Management (Perform User and role recertification on a frequent basis) and other infra related topics.
  • Ensure availability of all necessary application/service knowledge and documentation & mentoring the team.
  • Manage the technical roadmap of the application (technology roadmap compliance), estimate/budget capacity needed.
  • Validate deliverables for all projects/changes that run through the application.

Requirements

  • 5-6 years of experience in similar role or application management.
  • Total 10+ years of IT Experience.
  • Knowledge of IT Service Management. Hands-on ITIL experience is a Plus.
  • Experience in working in Risk, IT Run the Bank and Support domains.
  • Tools Used: Jira, HP ALM, Confluence & other server monitoring tools.
  • Basic Technical capabilities and infrastructure knowledge (e.g.: Java, Oracle database, PL/SQL, Weblogic, Linux)
  • Good to have some technical background required, experience in Java Enterprise environment with knowledge of web- and application- servers is a plus.Basic Understanding of Automated Deployment & CI: GIT, Maven, Artifactory, Jenkins, Teamcity etcSome experience on Google Cloud is desirable but not mandatory (On Job Learning)Experience of working together with Agile/Scrum teams and their methods and tooling. (Good to have)high-level understanding of Cobol/DB2/Tomcat
  • Behavioural:The ideal candidate should have good English spoken and written skills, being an excellent communication with experience in stakeholder management (business & IT).Flexibility & Adaptability: ability to control multiple assignments and prioritizing them and adjusting to suit with real condition and assignments.Ability to deal with people across geographies and varied teams on diverse topics.Planning/Organizing: Able to manage work but also to make the estimate, scheme in detail, work on deployment plans and manage deadlines.
