Job Title:

We are seeking an experienced PostgreSQL Database Administrator to join our team. As a key member of our IT department, you will be responsible for installing and provisioning PostgreSQL databases on premises and in the cloud.

  • Proven experience in day-to-day database maintenance activities, including backups, security patches, and performance tuning.
  • Proficiency in using PG tools such as psql, pg_stat, pg_dump/pg_restore, pg_repack, pg_logical, pgbadger, pg_bouncer, pgadmin, and pgbasebackup.
  • Experience with managing PostgreSQL databases on AWS EC2 and AWS Aurora Serverless.
  • Ability to set up and manage replication on-premises, on AWS EC2, and AWS Aurora.
  • Expertise in working with AWS DB Management Console and Database services.
  • Skilled in migrating PostgreSQL databases to AWS Aurora using native tools and AWS services.
  • Knowledge of PostgreSQL patching/upgrade on on-prem servers and AWS Aurora Serverless.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in PostgreSQL database administration.
  • Strong understanding of database design principles and data modeling.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
