Job Title: Technical Support Specialist

Position Overview:

The technical support specialist plays a crucial role in configuring, monitoring, and maintaining software and hardware systems for global offices.

The team member will serve as the primary contact for all technology-related issues/outages, providing technical support and troubleshooting expertise to ensure seamless system operation.

Key Responsibilities:

Technical Product Support:

  • To provide configuration support for Access Control and CCTV systems, diagnosing and troubleshooting software and hardware issues.
  • To offer remote assistance to internal clients on system configuration, identify system failures, and escalate unresolved issues to relevant teams.
  • To document technical knowledge in the form of notes and manuals at the dedicated file depository/knowledgebase.

Application Server Support:

  • To install and configure security system applications on servers, ensuring 24x7 monitoring of application services hosted on the servers.
  • To properly escalate unresolved issues to appropriate internal teams.

Other Responsibilities:

  • To respond promptly and professionally to emergency service calls during office hours and off-hours, including nights.
  • To collaborate with team members to establish best practices and make decisions.
  • To act independently when required and report to senior management to ensure work satisfaction.
  • To participate in departmental meetings.

Requirements:

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Experience in Access Control and CCTV systems, including Installation and Maintenance.
  • Proficiency in CCURE 9000 and CCURE GO software, iStar controller, and their integration.
  • Familiarity with enterprise CCTV systems like Intellicene (Cognyte/Verint) Symphia VMS, Genetec video solutions.
  • Experience in Windows Server Operating Systems (Windows Server 2016, 2019).
  • SQL experience is an asset.
  • PowerShell programming skills are a plus.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, analytical thinking, and verbal/written communication skills.
  • A motivated self-starter with ability to multitask.

Education:

An Engineering Degree in Electronics/Computer Science or equivalent qualification is preferred.

This is a third-party deployed role working in shifts, including night shifts, with regular working hours of 9 hours a day, 5 days a week.
