Senior Commercial Manager

The successful candidate will oversee the commercial efforts across India to maximize market opportunities. This role is responsible for managing business operations, including maximizing sales and market share gain for products and/or services throughout assigned regions in India's domestic and regulated markets.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop Business Development Strategy
- Contribute to Global Accounts growth objectives
- Determine strategies for selected Accounts
- Build wallet share of Biocon API business in India
- Lead Sales and Account Management
- Ensure smooth functioning of businesses and monthly order forecasting for production planning
- Grow share of business and expand relationships within the customer, identifying influencers, gatekeepers, decision-makers in India, as well as aligning with Global and Regional Key Account Managers to penetrate client organizations
- Deploy consultative selling approach with assigned accounts to identify supply chain challenges and develop value-creating solutions
- Interact with regular customers to ensure continuity of existing businesses, from receiving orders to despatching shipments as per customer requirements
- Coordinate with planning/production and Logistics/Shipping teams to ensure timely despatch, provide shipping documentation, and receive payments by due-dates from customers
- Necessary interaction/co-ordination with various departments for samples, regulatory requirements, DMFs, and other documentation for new customers and regulatory approvals to meet statutory requirements
- Manage business development activities to add new customers and increase market coverage of existing products in untapped regions
Identify markets and customers for new products and pipeline assistance. The regional head supports successful product launches and ensures sales of new products once commercialized.
Provide market research, intelligence, and key information on international trends and competition to inform future export strategies.
