Job Summary

The Legal Contract Professional plays a pivotal role in supporting the legal function by streamlining contract review and increasing operational efficiency.

This critical function ensures compliance, document integrity, and excellence. The successful candidate will be responsible for drafting and negotiating contracts, maintaining accurate records, and building relationships with internal stakeholders.

  • Draft and negotiate terms and conditions for various commercial agreements according to guidelines.
  • Solve any contract-related problems that may arise with other parties or internally.
  • Develop creative solutions and draft alternative terms, working closely with attorneys as needed.
  • Obtain approval for non-standard terms in accordance with policies.
  • Educate internal teams to promote conformity and consistency in contract terms and obligations.
  • Contribute to the maintenance and enhancement of administrative processes and documents.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Contract Management: Draft and negotiate terms and conditions for various commercial agreements.
  • Problem-Solving: Solve contract-related problems and maintain accurate records.
  • Relationship Building: Build trusted relationships with internal stakeholders and collaborate with the Legal team.
  • Process Improvement: Contribute to the maintenance and enhancement of administrative processes and documents.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent, with 4-6 years' experience negotiating legal terms and conditions with customers or vendors.
  • Training or education in law, paralegal skills, negotiation, or writing, including certification required.
  • Familiarity with media organizations desirable.
  • Highly proficient in spoken and written English.
  • Experience working with commercial contract management and a good level of understanding of contract and commercial law.
  • Experience managing complex issues and applying legal, financial, and business principles to contracting.
  • Adept in using digital tools, document systems, and MS Office - particularly advanced skills in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint.
