Job Description:

The Responsible Mica Initiative (RMI) is seeking a highly motivated individual to support responsible mica supply chains in India. The successful candidate will work closely with RMI's governance bodies, Executive team, members, and partners to promote sustainable practices in the mica industry.

The ideal candidate will possess strong social and environmental auditing expertise, excellent coordination and monitoring skills, and exceptional inter-personal abilities. They will support the Executive Team in implementing RMI's Global Workplace Standard (GWS) and forthcoming mining standard, conducting gap assessments, co-designing Corrective Action Plans, and facilitating training sessions on responsible workplace standards.

In addition to their technical skills, the successful candidate will demonstrate a passion for bringing people together to effect positive change, humility, perseverance, and excellent communication skills. Fluency in English and Hindi is essential, along with a high level of integrity and ethical standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Establishing gap assessments of Indian mica processors and mines versus RMI's GWS
  • Co-designing Corrective Action Plans with processors and mine owners
  • SUPPORTING PROCESSORS AND MINE OWNERS IN THE EFFECTIVE IMPLEMENTATION OF THOSE CAPS
  • Closely following up progress in terms of compliance with regards to RMI workplace and due diligence standards
  • Designing training content for auditors on RMI standards and conducting online or face-to-face training
  • Performing quality checks on audit reports
  • Analyzing audit data and building presentations for the team and members

This role requires a solution-driven, motivated, and rigorous individual who can foster effective teamwork to drive results. The successful candidate will be based in Bhilwara, Rajasthan, and will travel occasionally to other districts in Andhra Pradesh and Jharkhand.
