Procurement Specialist

The Procurement Specialist plays a pivotal role in ensuring the organization procures software products that meet its needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Conduct thorough research to identify suitable software solutions, considering factors such as functionality, compatibility, and scalability.
  2. Develop and maintain relationships with software vendors, negotiating prices, terms, and conditions to secure the best possible deals.
  3. Coordinate the procurement process from initial request to final purchase order, ensuring seamless execution and minimizing delays.
  4. Oversee the management of software licenses, subscriptions, and renewals, guaranteeing compliance with organizational standards.
  5. Monitor software usage and implement strategies to optimize license utilization, thereby reducing waste and minimizing unnecessary expenditures.
  6. Maintain awareness of industry trends and developments, staying informed about emerging technologies and innovations that can benefit the organization.

Work Experience

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Minimum 5-15 years of experience in software procurement, preferably within a product company environment.
  • Familiarity with software licensing and contract management principles.
  • Excellent negotiation and communication skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders.
  • Strong data analysis, reporting, and presentation skills, with the capacity to provide insightful recommendations.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced environment.
  • Attention to detail and strong organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
