Job Title: Estimator II

As a skilled estimator, you will be responsible for preparing techno-commercial proposals that cover various aspects. Your role will involve technical proposal preparation, positioning the correct technical solution, and applying optimized costs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare techno-commercial proposals to support business growth
  • Develop technical proposals tailored to customer requirements
  • Position the most suitable technical solution while ensuring compliance with minimum standards
  • Apply competitive and optimized costs to projects
  • Ensure accurate taxation and duties are applied
  • Meet customer timelines for bid submissions
  • Attend technical meetings, interact with customers, and conduct site surveys
  • Engage with vendors for third-party items and evaluate technical offerings
  • Collaborate with internal teams, including engineering, operations, sourcing, and product marketing, to ensure complete bids
  • Follow established Honeywell processes and tools
  • Identify risks and opportunities in proposals
  • Timely hand over received orders to operations
  • Maintain compliance with Honeywell norms
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of systems and processes to support accurate proposals and productivity

Requirements:

  • Understanding of process industry concepts (e.g., TAS workflow, pipeline, and city gas distribution)
  • Knowledge of hazardous areas, classifications, intrinsic safety, SIL, applicable codes, and IEC standards
  • Sound knowledge of tank farm and gantry automation, LRC, erection hardware, general-purpose PLC, RTU, SCADA, F&G, safety, and security
  • Estimating experience in erection hardware and understanding hook-up drawings, reading P&ID
  • Understanding of taxes and duties is an added advantage
  • Good analytical skills and ability to multitask and manage priorities
