Job Title: AVP Data SalesAbout the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced AVP Sales to lead our sales efforts in data products, retail lending platforms, and credit & risk scoring solutions. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in sales within the startup, consumer internet, IT companies, software companies with a deep understanding of data-driven products.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute sales strategies to increase market penetration and achieve sales targets. Focus on selling complex digital, data & technology solutions including data products, retail lending platforms, and credit scoring products.
  • Build and maintain strong, long-lasting customer relationships with consumer-facing companies, marketplaces, non-banking and banking/financial institutions, fintech companies, and other potential clients. Understand client needs and propose solutions that meet their business objectives.
  • Conduct market research to identify emerging trends, market needs, and potential business opportunities. Collaborate with product development & pre-sales / implementation teams to align offerings with market demand.
  • Oversee the sales pipeline, ensuring accurate forecasting, and effective management of sales opportunities from lead generation to closure.
  • Work closely with marketing, product development, pre-sales, implementation team, and customer service teams to ensure a cohesive strategy and customer experience.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Business Management, Data Science, Marketing, Finance, or a related field. An MBA or equivalent is preferred.
  • Must be from tech startups - in the last 3 jobs
  • Minimum of 5+ experience of hands-on work in Analytics
  • Basic knowledge of Data Science, Statistics, and Machine learning
  • 6-10 years of sales experience, with at least 5 years in a leadership role, preferably in the Data Sales with focus in fintech, or financial services industry.
  • Proven track record of achieving sales targets and driving growth in a technology-driven business environment.
  • Strong understanding of enterprise products, SaaS, digital transformations, data products, retail lending solutions, and credit scoring methodologies.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to lead and motivate a high-performance sales team.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Willingness to travel as required.
