About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Global Business Development Director to join our team at Handelnine Global. This is a unique opportunity to lead business development and supply partnerships across multiple global markets.

Key Responsibilities
  • Strategic Business Development: Develop and execute strategies to expand Handelnine's core business model into new global marketplaces, identify and assess new growth opportunities in diverse markets, and craft comprehensive plans for product launches to maximize revenue and market presence.
  • Supply Partnerships and Sourcing Strategy: Lead experimentation and refinement of sourcing models to optimize cost and product quality, establish and nurture relationships with key partners to drive reliable and profitable sourcing, negotiate strategic agreements and partnerships that align with the company's growth objectives, and lead procurement for private label initiatives to build exclusive product lines.
  • Data-Driven Decision-Making: Utilize data and analytics to monitor business development performance, supply chain metrics, and market trends, implement KPIs and metrics to track the success of new initiatives, and enable early course correction and strategic alignment.
  • Team Leadership and Development: Lead, mentor, and develop a team dedicated to business development and supply partnerships, ensuring clear goals and necessary support, foster a culture of ownership, efficiency, and continuous improvement in line with Handelnine's core values.
Requirements
  • Ownership Mindset and Proactive Leadership: Demonstrate a strong sense of ownership and accountability for the execution and success of the new business unit, act as a proactive leader identifying opportunities, overcoming challenges, building a team, and driving projects to completion with minimal day-to-day supervision.
  • Experience and Expertise: 8+ years of experience in business development or partnerships, preferably within the e-commerce or consumer goods industries, proven track record of working in global teams with a strong ability to influence and collaborate across various departments.
  • Analytical and Communication Skills: Strong data analysis skills with the ability to interpret and use data to drive strategic decisions, excellent communication and leadership skills to influence and motivate both internal and external stakeholders.

The estimated salary for this position is $120,000 - $180,000 per annum, depending on experience and qualifications.
