Desktop Technical Support Specialist

We are seeking an experienced Desktop Support Engineer to join our global team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing technical assistance to customers via remote support.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver prompt and effective technical support for desktops, laptops, and peripherals.
- Monitor and respond to incidents via ticketing system within set service level agreements (SLA) timelines.
- Perform remote troubleshooting and escalate unresolved issues in a timely manner.
- Support users across different time zones while minimizing downtime.
- Maintain detailed logs of shift activities and handover reports for seamless continuity.
- Collaborate with global IT teams to ensure coordinated support.
- Provide technical support for desktops, laptops, printers, and other peripherals.
- Troubleshoot hardware and software issues both onsite and remotely.
- Install, configure, and upgrade operating systems and applications as needed.
- Respond to user tickets and resolve issues related to Windows, Mac, or Linux environments.
- Maintain logs of support requests, resolutions, and system updates.
- Assist in setting up new systems and user accounts as required.
- Collaborate with IT teams to escalate unresolved issues.
- E nsure timely updates and patches for systems and applications.
- Train users on basic IT procedures and best practices.
- Maintain inventory of IT assets and ensure compliance with company policies.
Requirements:
- 3+ years of relevant experience in desktop support.
- Proficiency in Windows, Mac, and Linux environments.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a hybrid mode and collaborate with global teams.
