As a System Support Professional, you will be responsible for delivering expert technical assistance and solutions to our clients. Your primary goal will be to resolve complex technical issues efficiently and effectively.

Educational Background

A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field is required. A strong foundation in computer science principles and concepts is essential for success in this role.

Experience

You should have 1-2 years of experience in Linux system administration or support. Experience in high-performance computing environments is beneficial, as it will give you an edge in understanding the complexities of these systems.

Technical Skills

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • Proficiency in Linux/Unix operating systems
  • Basic knowledge of Linux operating systems with hands-on experience in installation of Linux systems
  • Configuration of storage systems such as NFS, SMB, and iSCSI
  • Basic knowledge of HPC architecture and components
  • Familiarity with job schedulers like SLURM, PBS, or similar
  • Understanding of networking concepts and troubleshooting
  • Understanding of parallel file systems (PFS) such as BeeGFS
Soft Skills

You should possess:

  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment
