Job Opportunity:

About the Role
  • This position is accountable for driving business growth and strategy execution in the region, aligning with set targets.
Key Responsibilities
  1. Develops and implements strategic plans to achieve divisional objectives.
  2. Provides input on workforce forecasts for the division's development.
  3. Manages the department's operating framework, provides guidance, ensures implementation and review of work processes to achieve high performance standards and continuous improvement.
  4. Drives strategy and execution of SME businesses in the region as per targets.
  5. Prepares yearly Business development plans in line with the bank strategy for SME clients for the region.
  6. Achieves target set in yearly budget for new and existing clients and manages budget and financials related to these targets.
  7. Articulates region specific strategy for the growth of various products offered by the organization and liaises with the Product Development Team.
  8. Manages people and teams, including career management, coaching and mentoring of critical talent in the team.
  9. Formulates recruitment and resourcing strategies, e.g., location strategies.
  10. Reviews and coordinates prescribed quality principles and processes.
  11. Sponsors and ensures quality standards are met in management initiatives in the region.
  12. Ensures stringent fraud control policies are in place.
  13. Ensures minimal NPAs in the region.
Talent Management
  • Develops a continuous talent pipeline for key roles in the department and provides mentoring for high potential talent in the team.
  • Monitors and enables achievement of goals and key performance indicators for direct reports and ensures effective implementation of the performance management process in the department.
  • Develops talent within the department by providing guidance, ongoing feedback, coaching and development opportunities to individuals to enable achievement of defined goals.
Risk Management and Internal Control
  • Governs implementation of risk-related policies and processes for the department, ensuring they meet regulatory and internal control requirements.
  • Reviews implementation of internal control systems in line with relevant operating procedures and regulatory requirements, taking corrective action based on audit findings.
