Key Account Manager

We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Key Account Manager to drive accelerated revenue growth by retaining and expanding the existing customer base, mitigating attrition risks, and penetrating untapped market segments.

This role will focus on generating new sales revenue across our complete product portfolio and leading strategic sales projects to build large academic and government consortiums in collaboration with cross-functional teams.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Drive accelerated revenue growth by retaining and expanding the existing customer base through effective relationship management and targeted sales strategies.
  • Develop and execute strategies to achieve sales targets for our product portfolio, identifying opportunities for growth and expansion.
  • Identify and mitigate attrition risks through proactive customer engagement and relationship management, ensuring long-term partnerships.
Market Penetration:
  • Identify and penetrate untapped market segments to generate new sales revenue, leveraging market research and analysis to inform strategic decisions.
  • Conduct market research to uncover opportunities for our products and solutions, staying up-to-date on industry trends and competitor activity.
Strategic Sales Projects:
  • Lead initiatives to build and manage large academic and government consortiums, collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver tailored solutions.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to align sales strategies with company goals, driving business growth and innovation.
Customer Relationship Management:
  • Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with key stakeholders in academic institutions, government bodies, and other organizations.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for clients, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction and delivering exceptional service.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Sales & Marketing, or a related field. MBA or advanced degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in B2B sales or account management, preferably in publishing, education, or technology sectors.
  • Proven track record of achieving revenue targets and driving customer retention.
  • Experience working with academic institutions, government bodies, or consortiums is a plus.
  • Strong negotiation and relationship-building skills, with proficiency in CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce) and MS Office Suite.
  • Willingness to travel as needed to meet clients and stakeholders, with a strong understanding of the Indian academic and government market landscape.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Knowledge of the Indian academic and government market landscape, including key players and trends.
  • Experience working with large academic and government consortiums, with a proven track record of success.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think strategically and drive business growth.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
