Proposal Development Specialist

Job Summary:

  • The Proposal Development Specialist is responsible for creating compelling proposals by defining objectives, gathering and organizing information, writing drafts, and obtaining approvals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Define proposal strategy by identifying opportunities and needs, researching requests for proposal (RFPs), and participating in strategic planning meetings.
  • Meet proposal deadlines by establishing priorities and target dates for information gathering, writing, review, approval, and transmittal.
  • Coordinate requirements with contributors and provide proposal status updates to review meetings.
  • Gather proposal information by identifying sources of data, coordinating submissions and collections, and assessing risks associated with proposals.
  • Develop proposal content including project scope, goals, implementation plans, methods, timelines, staffing, budgets, performance standards, and evaluation criteria.
  • Write, revise, and edit drafts, including executive summaries, conclusions, and organizational credentials.
  • Prepare presentations by evaluating text, graphics, and binding.
